Navin Raheja is a self made entrepreneur who started his career with less than $ 100 and today he is executing projects worth over $ 2 billion. Born to Yagyabrahma Shrimati Krishna Raheja and late Shri Maheshwar Nath Raheja an Indian Government servant on transferrable jobs, his first investment was earned through his school and college savings, part time businesses and house tuitions.
He started his career in 1978 with a scooter agency and experimented with diverse businesses viz finance, electronics, computers, travel agency, import agencies before finally settling with real estate after about a decade. Today, Raheja Developers is one of the largest real estate companies in India with projects over 60 million sq. ft. at various stages of execution. Having already delivered appx 29.5 million sq.ft. of mainly residential and commercial projects including farmhouses, plotted development and hotel properties and 15.50 million sq.ft under advanced stages of construction, his company is almost debt free with highest customer satisfaction index. Raheja Developers is unlisted closely held yet professionally managed company run by an experienced board of directors. Mr. Raheja is the first developer to undertake slum rehabilitation of 2800 families in the heart of New Delhi thus changing lives of almost twenty thousand poor people by giving them toilets and other modern day facilities. Mr Navin M Raheja is currently Chairman of advisory council of National Real Estate Development Council(Naredco). As Chairman of Naredco, he has played a vital role in bringing up real estate regulatory act, affordable housing policy of Government of India and guidelines to states for real estate clearance procedures that would go a long way to provide cheaper and organized housing to every Indian. He is also the chairman of real estate committee of FICCI and is an eminent executive member of Assocham and CII. Being a respected entrepreneur he had the privilege of leading Indian Business delegations along with the President of India to several international missions.
Mr. Raheja is a passionate wildlifer and had been a member of the Steering Committee of Project Tiger, under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. His PIL in Supreme court of India since 1997 has succeeded in delivering several orders that were instrumental in turnaround of tiger conservation mission. For the first time in the world, he has successfully pioneered in rehabilitation of Leopard and Tiger Cubs in the wild. His wildlife films are weekly telecast on Indian national channel Doordarshan continuously for past two years. Nayan Raheja is a 2nd generation entrepreneur working as executive director in Raheja Developers Ltd. since 2006. He is an architecture graduate from School of Planning and Architecture and has done schooling from DPS, RKP.
He has been at the forefront of leading the company into the new era contributing significantly to better systems, processes and better product delivery keeping the needs of the modern consumer in mind. He is a member of the Indian institute of architects and a member of the Assocham Youth Leaders community.
He is also one of the directors in Raheja Productions, which is a production house making documentaries and films in the field of wildlife and environment. He is personally a keen wildlife photographer and has been contributing significantly to the cause of tiger conservation whereas his photos and articles have been published across all leading journals of India. He keeps traveling extensively to wildlife parks across the world and writes extensively on the current conditions of wildlife and forest management.
He is presently also the director at Raheja showbiz, his new venture which is producing a bollywood feature film based on the issues of the youth in the country. He is also a keen musician with a degree from Delhi school of music in classical guitar playing while he has also received Hindustani classical vocal training and has performed at concerts at colleges and fests.
Dr. M.Yusuf Khan is Chairman of the Development Banking Advisory Council at Yes Bank Ltd. The council augments key developmental banking projects in the 'public-private partnership' area for the growth of state level socio-economic infrastructure being pursued by Yes Bank along with various state governments.
Dr. Khan has had a distinguished career spanning over a decade in banking and was instrumental in the rapid growth of Jammu and Kashmir Bank during his chairmanship between 1996 and 2005. During his time as Chairman, the turnover of the bank went from a mere $890 million to $7.3 billion and the NPA came down from a double digit figure to just 1.41%. When he left, about 95% of the branches of the bank had been computerized and were offering Internet Banking facility to its customers for the first time.
Between 1975 and 1996, Dr. Khan worked in senior management positions in several Government Organizations in Kashmir such as Kashmir Small Scale Industries Corporation (SICOP), J&K State Industrial Development Corporation, J&K Tourism Development Corporation and J&K Agro Industries Development Corporation. He was also appointed as a Senior Advisor at the New York-based investment group Berenson and Company in 2005 where he supervises Berenson and Company's operations in India.
Dr. Khan is a nominated member of the Chattisgarh Economic Advisory; Government of India, Member of the Banking and Financial Institutions Committee of FICCI and Member of the Managing Committee of Indian Banking Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Bharat Hotels and Zee Telefilms. Dr. Khan received Gaurav Samman (Best Banker of the year-2001) Award from Union Home Minister L K Advani for his meritorious services in the field of Banking. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards like "Udyog Rattan" award, "Pride of India & IMM" award, for excellence as top professional manager, and "Excellence Award" by Institute of Economic Studies among several others.
He is a science graduate from the University of Kashmir and has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Business Management (PHD) from Burkes University in UK.
Mr. Ravinder Zutshi has spearheaded the success of Samsung in the Indian market place since the launch of Samsung in India in December 1995. He last held the position as the Deputy Managing Director at Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd. Dedicated to maintaining a reputation built on quality, service and uncompromising ethics, Mr. Zutshi has been responsible for enhancing profitability, developing strategic initiatives and growing a high-quality product portfolio for Samsung India. Since the time he joined the company in 1995, Mr. Zutshi has played a vital role in setting up the company's sales & distribution network across businesses, including mobile phones while managing the marketing functions for both the Durable, IT & Telecom business.
With an experience of over 35 years in the consumer electronics industry, Mr. Zutshi has proven to be a visionary leader who translates business strategies into maximum profits resulting in the best interest of shareholders, customers, employees, and the public.
Beginning with sales and marketing assignments, his career has spanned from managing business operations to building brand and trade confidence in various electronic majors like Philips India and Videocon International.
Having established Samsung as a household name in India, Mr. Zutshi has also served as the President of Consumer Electronics and Appliance Manufacturers Association (CEAMA) from the period 2007-09. The changes implemented during his tenure have not only been limited to the internal organization but have also been a strong influence externally in terms of eradicating Entry Tax in the State of U.P. on sector products. Also, it was under his aegis when CEAMA recommended the imposition of 36 per cent duty on imported TVs as baggage to encourage indigenous manufacturing in the country and the same was accepted and levied. He has been instrumental in steering the consumer electronics industry to greater heights, making it much more vibrant and progressive. In February 2014, along with Indian Cellular Association, he was successful in lobbying towards encouraging domestic production of mobile handsets thereby reducing countervailing duty (CVD) to 6% with CENVAT credit or 1c)/0 without CENVAT credit from 6% to 1% for manufacturers of mobile handsets in India.
During his 19 years tenure at Samsung he has been conferred with coveted global titles like Salesman of the Year Award in 1997 and 2002.
He has held various other significant positions as the Chairman of the ICT Committee at FICCI (2014) and Vice Chairman Sports Committee ASSOCHAM (2014).
Mr. Zutshi has a proven ability & track record of identifying markets; acquire accounts & implementing the necessary controls in establishing the vast sales & distribution network for various organisations in the consumer durable space. His strong ability to set up business processes in a cross cultural and multilingual environment, trouble shooting and team building skills make him one of the most respectable durable veterans in the country.
On the educational front, Mr. Zutshi has completed B.Sc. (Hops) from Delhi University. Apart from his obvious interest in work, he loves traveling and has a major interest in sports including squash & Golf.
Mr.Yogesh Raheja joined Raheja Developers Limited in 2002 as an Architect. He holds a Bachelors degree in Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Delhi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.
Member of Council of Architecture, India he has been associated with several projects where he promoted and successfully completed projects covering millions of square feet. He is involved grossly with Architectural design; town planning, research and experimentation with construction & infrastructure technologies for sustainable development. He strongly believes that perfection in any building design and workmanship comes only when there is perfection in the planning and decision making. Unless and until an architect doesn't have the synchronization of both these, he cannot achieve the best in the World.
Yogesh Raheja belongs to the second generation of entrepreneurs and enjoys interest in Renewable energy infrastructure projects as well. Yogesh Raheja invests any extra time in rallying and has won various accolades in the same.
Retired as General Manager Punjab National Bank, She has a vast Experience of 38 years in different capacities and different areas in Banking Industry. She is Masters in Psychology from Indraprastha College and has done MDP from kellog School of Management, USA. She has held charge of various divisions including International Banking, HR, Insurance, Marketing and Retail Banking.
